Camp Spike ‘n’ Wave® is beyond fun!
Camp Spike ‘n’ Wave combines the outdoors and the experiences of camp life with camaraderie and team building. This experience is funded through private gifts from people like you. Consequently, Camp Spike ‘n’ Wave is completely free.
Amenities
Located on the Camp for All grounds in Burton, TX, Camp Spike ‘n’ Wave’s features include:
- Swimming center (with wheelchair lift)
- Challenge courses
- Archery range
- Horseback riding
- Arts and crafts
- Small animal farm
- Reptile/nature program (snakes and lizards, oh my!)
- Kayaking/canoeing
- Disc Golf
- Fishing
- Gold panning
- And more…
Who Can Apply?
Families of children and young teens, ages 8-14, with a diagnosis of epilepsy or seizures may apply. To participate, campers must receive treatment for seizures and live within our region generally, which includes Greater Houston, East Texas, the DFW area, North Texas, and all of West Texas.

Where is Camp?
Camp Spike ‘n’ Wave takes place at the beautiful and fully accessible Camp For All. The campgrounds are located at 6301 Rehburg Road in Burton, Texas. Burton is approximately 90 miles northwest of Housto
Why Should You Go?
We believe that healing from epilepsy is as much about exercising the body as it is the brain. Fortunately, Camp Spike ‘n’ Wave is equal parts of both. Campers will find themselves physically and mentally engaged during the entire session. Moreover, they will come home with stories of their amazing adventures and even more amazing new friends. As a result, they will feel a part of something bigger than themselves. That is, they will feel like a community.
How Much Does it Cost?
Private gifts fund the entire experience. For that reason, our epilepsy camps, like Camp Spike ‘n’ Wave, are 100% free to our community of campers. So, you just worry about having a great time. Leave the rest to us!
