Texas Workforce Commission - Civil Rights Commission
The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) Civil Rights Division enforces Texas laws that prohibit discrimination in employment and housing. The division investigates complaints involving disability, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, retaliation, and other protected characteristics. Texans can file employment and fair housing discrimination complaints, learn about their legal rights, request workplace accommodations, and access educational resources and training. The Civil Rights Division also provides guidance to employers, housing providers, and state agencies to promote compliance with state and federal civil rights laws.

The Randall O. Sorrels Legal Clinics - South Texas College of Law
The Randall O. Sorrels Legal Clinics at South Texas College of Law Houston provide free legal services to qualifying individuals in the Houston area. Assistance may be available for family law, estate planning, probate, guardianship, landlord/tenant issues, veterans’ issues, immigration, tax matters, domestic violence, and other legal needs. Services are provided by licensed attorneys, generally working alongside law students.

The Senior Source
The Senior Source is a nonprofit organization serving older adults and caregivers across the Greater Dallas area. The organization provides caregiver support, benefits counseling, financial and legal resources, guardianship services, volunteer opportunities, and programs that help older adults maintain independence and improve their quality of life. Through education, advocacy, and direct services, The Senior Source connects seniors and their families with trusted resources to navigate the challenges of aging.

U.S. HHS - Office for Civil Rights (OCR)
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights (OCR) enforces federal laws that protect individuals from discrimination in healthcare and human services programs. OCR investigates complaints involving disability discrimination, race, color, national origin, age, sex, and religion in organizations that receive HHS funding. The office also enforces patient privacy rights under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and provides guidance on accessibility, reasonable accommodations, and equal access to healthcare. Individuals who believe their civil rights have been violated can file a complaint directly with OCR through its online portal.

Windsor Village United Methodist
Windsor Village United Methodist Church offers a variety of community support services for individuals and families throughout the Greater Houston area. Available resources include food assistance, limited rent and mortgage assistance, counseling, veterans support, and referrals to additional community services. Through its ministries and outreach programs, Windsor Village is committed to helping neighbors navigate financial hardship while providing compassionate support and opportunities for long-term well-being.
