Texans can file employment and fair housing discrimination complaints, learn about their legal rights, request workplace accommodations, and access educational resources and training. The Civil Rights Division also provides guidance to employers, housing providers, and state agencies to promote compliance with state and federal civil rights laws.

The office also enforces patient privacy rights under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and provides guidance on accessibility, reasonable accommodations, and equal access to healthcare. Individuals who believe their civil rights have been violated can file a complaint directly with OCR through its online portal.

Windsor Village United Methodist Church offers a variety of community support services for individuals and families throughout the Greater Houston area. Available resources include food assistance, limited rent and mortgage assistance, counseling, veterans support, and referrals to additional community services.
