Camp Spike ’n’ Wave® is more than a summer camp—it’s a transformative week designed especially for children and young teens living with epilepsy. Through classic camp fun, shared experiences, and expert medical care, campers build confidence, friendships, and a powerful sense of belonging.

This one-week sleep-away camp for 8 - 14-year-olds blends outdoor adventure with a supportive environment where campers are free to be themselves—surrounded by peers and staff who truly understand epilepsy.

Who Can Attend?

Where We'll Be!

Camp Spike ’n’ Wave is designed for younger campers and provides a supportive, structured environment focused on Community, Care, and Hope.

Eligibility requirements include:

Age: Children and young teens ages 8–14 at the time of camp
Diagnosis: A diagnosis of epilepsy or seizure disorder
Treatment: Currently receiving treatment for seizures

To participate, campers must live within Epilepsy Foundation Texas’ service region, which generally includes:

Greater Houston
East Texas

Camp Spike ’n’ Wave takes place at Camp For All, a fully accessible, nationally recognized camp facility designed to support campers with medical and physical needs.

Burton is located approximately 90 miles northwest of Houston.

What we do

Campers enjoy a wide range of fun, accessible activities, including:

Swimming center (with wheelchair lift)
Challenge courses and zip line
Archery
Horseback riding
Kayaking, canoeing, and fishing

Arts and crafts
Small animal farm
Reptile and nature programs
And so much more

All activities are supervised by trained staff and supported by on-site medical professionals.

Thanks to the generosity of donors and sponsors, Camp Spike ’n’ Wave is offered at no cost to participating families. Lodging, meals, activities, and expert medical care are fully funded so campers can focus on fun, growth, and connection.
