Who Can Apply?
Families with young people, ages 0-17, with a primary diagnosis of epilepsy or seizure disorder may apply. The admission is for up to five family members. To participate, campers must live within our region. Generally, that includes Greater Houston, Deep East Texas, East Texas, the DFW area, North Texas, and all of West Texas. Campers are only eligible for one camp session per year, however.
Where is Camp?
Camp E.E.G. takes place at the beautiful and fully accessible Camp John Marc. The campgrounds are located at 3247 County Road 1105 in Meridian, TX. Meridian is approximately 70 miles SSW of Fort Worth.
Why Should You Go?
We believe that healing from epilepsy is as much about exercising the body as it is the brain. Fortunately, Camp E.E.G. is equal parts of both. During the session, campers will find themselves physically and mentally engaged. As a result, campers will feel a part of something bigger than themselves. That is, they will feel like a community. As an added bonus, the whole family gets involved.
How Much Does it Cost?
Private gifts fund the entire experience. As a result, camp E.E.G. is 100% free to our community of campers. So, you just worry about having a great time. Leave the rest to us!
